PET is among the strongest plastic materials available because of its very high-tensile strength. Strapping made of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is known for its outstanding properties, making it stronger than PP and lighter and safer than steel strapping. For strapping products, DuFor offers a range of EcoClear and CumaPET grades.
rPET for strapping
Nowadays, strapping is typically produced using recycled materials. This is primarily cost driven, but also the growing importance of reusing plastic materials. Our EcoClear grades are produced out of post-consumer bottle flakes (rPET). Our fine filtered and solid-stated regranulate offers one of the best qualities available for this application. In our production process, we remove the majority of both solid and volatile contamination and we can adjust the IV to any level required.

To obtain the highest possible characteristics in terms of mechanical properties, color, and processability, we also supply CumaPET virgin grades that are tailor-made for your specific applications.
