Present
Today, DuFor is continuously improving its processes and products without losing focus on its service level. Despite the fast growth in recent years, our primary goal remains unchanged: to be the most flexible, sustainable, and customer-oriented supplier of special, high-end polyesters.
2023
To support our customers in various development projects even better, we have expanded our machine park with a brand new, custom-made twin screw Extruder. It’s not only a great asset for our R&D staff, but also for our customers.
2019
CuRe Technology founded.
It started as a small idea and is now turning into a revolutionary new company with the following mission statement:
To recycle infinitely.
Again and again and again.
Creating a fully circular polyester chain.
CuRe Technology, has strong proprietary technology which allows for modular add on of other technologies, giving flexibility to choose the best route depending on the type of polyester waste.
2018
DuFor is constantly investing in its R&D laboratory facilities to create innovative and sustainable polyester products and solutions together with its customers. In 2017, significant investments were already made in advanced equipment like viscosity and color meters, alongside the establishment of a quality control database. In 2018, a compounding and extrusion pilot plant is added to the R&D facility. With this new extrusion pilot plant, we can develop premium polyester specialties based on recycled input. This pilot line not only facilitates product development but also fosters exploration into usage of alternative sources of used PET.
2017
DuFor and Ultrapolymers signed an agreement for the distribution of DuFor’s polyester specialties in the Injection Molding market, starting in the Benelux region. This cooperation will allow us to reach more customers in areas where we aren’t well represented yet. Besides serving as an additional sales channel, this cooperation will also serve as a platform to exchange technical and commercial know-how, leveraging collective experience in high-quality virgin and recycled materials.
2016
In March 2016 DuFor achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, a globally recognized quality management standard. Two of the fundamental principles of the ISO certification are a focus on customers – understanding their requirements and exceeding their expectations – and continual review and improvement of everything a business does. This certification underscores our commitment to customer-centricity, exceeding expectations, and continuous improvement across all business processes.
2013
After five years of substantial growth, our company outgrew its former building. Therefore we moved to a new location. DuFor’s new facility includes a 6.000 square meters warehouse with pallet racking, a 400 square meter R&D facility and plenty of office space to accommodate all operations. Further to its own move, DuFor’s sister company Cumapol invested in a state of the art extrusion line to produce high-quality compounds and recycled products.
2010
Between 2008 and 2010, DuFor experienced consistent growth, making tighter control over production processes necessary. This led to the establishment of the company Cumapol Emmen, enabling the restart of SSP lines at the former Akzo/Wellman plant in Emmen. With operations running round-the-clock, boasting a Solid State Polymerization (SSP) capacity of 60,000 tons per year.
2008
In 2008, DuFor Resins BV underwent a change in ownership, now led by Marco Brons and Arjen van Kempen. Since this moment the company’s main focus is on the development of special custom-made polyesters. With over 40 years of experience in product and application development, DuFor is able to translate its customers’ specific demands into the polyester needed.
1994
DuFor Resins was established in 1994, initially operating as a trading entity facilitating polymer and chemical transactions between the Netherlands (DUtch) and Taiwan (FORmosa), hence the company's name today.
