Monofilaments

Polyester raw materials for the production of Monofilaments

Because of its high mechanical properties and good processability, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is widely used as a raw material for monofilament extrusion. A few examples of these applications include industrial wovens, ropes, fishing lines, tennis strings, and 3D printing-filaments.

Recycled PET for monofilament extrusion

The use of recycled materials is increasingly more important because it reduces the need for fossil based raw materials. DuFor can support you to select or develop recycled polyesters which are suitable for your monofilament application. In doing this we can help you to develop high-quality monofilaments with a low ecological footprint.

Tailor-made virgin polyesters

To obtain the highest possible quality of monofilaments in terms of mechanical properties, durability, color, processability, etc., we also offer CumaPET virgin grades that are custom-made for your specific application.

Choice of material

We can offer you a high-level of support. Thanks to the extensive experience of our R&D and technical support team in polymer processing and application development. We can guide you to select appropriate polymers, to determine optimal processing parameters, and to choose the right equipment.
